The Government of Quebec has decided to impose the wearing of masks in all indoor public places.
Persons in the following situations are not subject to the obligation of wearing a mask or face shield:
- children under 12 years of age.
- persons whose particular medical condition prevents them from wearing a mask or face shield, including those who are unable to put it on or take it off by themselves;
- persons who are seated and respect the distance provided for the following places (they must put their mask or face shield back on when moving around in these places) :
- in a place where activities or services of a cultural or entertainment nature are offered,
- in another closed or partially covered place that is open to the public where people can be seated.
When asked how this is compatible with a dinner at a restaurant, the Prime Minister replied that one must come and go to the masked restaurant, but that it is not necessary to wear a mask while sitting at the table.
"In theatres, people will be able to move around, when they go inside, they can gather, they wear the mask, when they sit in their seats, which are defined areas, they can, if they are not singing, etc., take off their masks-they can keep them on, that is not a problem-but if they are bothered by the mask, they can take them off. So that's the rule." (Comment by Dr. Horacio Arruda, July 13, 2020)
With these comments we invite you to come and leave the chapel masked but to participate in the Lord's Supper which is also His sacrifice with or without this obligation while maintaining the social and family distances that we have been observing since the beginning.
