Father Normandin: Funeral Mass on Monday January 4th

Source: District of Canada

Father Yves Normandin was called back to God on December 30, 2020, at the age of 95, with the sacraments of the Church. He had been living for a few months in Shawinigan, with Mr. and Mrs. Louis and Jeannine Forget, who gave him with devotion, love and attention all the care necessary for his health.

Born on February 18, 1925, ordained priest on May 31, 1953, Father Yves Normandin was pastor of Sainte-Yvette parish in Montreal until 1975. Assisted by Father Réal Bleau, he then distinguished himself by his attachment to the Mass. He continued his mission by celebrating the Holy Mass and dispensing the sacraments throughout Canada.

He left to join his brothers and sisters who preceded him in the afterlife. In addition to his brother Claude and his sister-in-law Rita, his priest nephews Louis and Sylvain Normandin and his other nephews and nieces, he leaves in mourning his fellow priests of the Society of Saint Pius X, as well as many faithful in Quebec and across Canada.

Your expressions of sympathy can take the form of prayers, a Mass offering or a donation to a work that was dear to him: the Holy Family School.
