As the chosen winner of Cleric-oke, Fr. Stannus brought on his a-game for his musical performance.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy had its annual celebration for the Feast of St. Patrick on March 16, 2019 in the gymnasium. The festive evening of course started with a mass celebrated by Father Stannus in OLMCA's chapel. Afterwards, parishioners, students, friends, and family were all in attendance to taste the annual roast beef feast, enjoy the surprise entertainment, and bring some goods and prizes home! This year the dinner was generously cooked by our visiting and current Irish resident, Arne Kaurin, who once upon a time, was the school's cook.

Once bellies were full, guests were able to gander and bid on various silent auction items and keenly place their raffle tickets for even more goodies! The entertainment was exciting as always. This year we had many Irish song pieces sung by the students, priests, and even guests! Afterwards, the live auction was a battle of bids for wonderfully donated items that ranged from statues of Our Lady to very useful cookware.

Another performance of the night was by the guests' popular choice for Cleric-oke, Father Stannus, who brought out his guitar for his impromptu song. And if you have heard of OLMCA's annual grand prize draw for a $2,000 travel voucher, then the anticipation was high as Father Sherry brought out the large raffle drum and pulled out the names. One of the guests family members won the first prize, and a local resident won the second prize of $500! And to wind down the night, Father Sherry, Father Stannus, and two teachers from OLMCA, gave a hilarious OLMCA version of an Irish song as a coffee-loving barbershop quartet.

Look out for this future event because it is a celebration you won't forget!
