In order to accommodate our faithful, while complying with the limitation, we will adjust some Mass times and add extra Masses on Sunday as follows:

For Mass, reservations are strictly required to secure a seat. The Mass registration page allows the faithful to book their seat themselves here.

Announcements

Offerings for the Holy Souls. Please take the envelopes for offerings for the Poor Souls. These envelopes will stay on the altar of Toronto for the whole Month of November. If you include an offering with the list of names, this is not a Mass stipend, but a charitable offering to the Society of St Pius X, and the priests will include the names on the envelopes in the Memento of the Dead at every Mass said in Toronto.

Mass stipends. Do not put any stipends in collection plates but ask a priest directly if you have any intention for a Mass.

Priests retreat and meeting. The priests of the district of Canada who can will be in a retreat/meeting in St-Césaire in early December. Another meeting will also be held in the West in November.

Ignatian retreats. The next retreats in English in St-Césaire until Easter are January 31 2022 to February 5 for women and February 21-26 for men.

St Joseph Bursary collection. Second collection in Orillia, October 28. Faithful in Sudbury can put a second envelope in the basket, clearly marked for the St Joseph Bursary.

Building Fund for Orillia. Second collection will be October 14. At the date of October 19, the amount in the building fund was $57929.00. Donations and other incomes in August were $14994.18, including one gift of $10 000.

Indulgences for the month of November. On Monday November 2 nd a plenary indulgence (applicable only to the Holy Souls in Purgatory) is granted to the faithful who devoutly visit a church or public oratory and -1- recite the Our Father and the Creed. Another plenary indulgence applicable to the Holy Souls in Purgatory is granted to the faithful who devoutly visit a cemetery and pray there for the Holy Soulsfrom the 1 st until the 8 th of November inclusive.

Live streamed Masses. Masses are now available on the YouTube channel “Transfiguration Church SSPX”.

COVID-19 rules. Please do pay attention to follow the provincial or local rules concerning the limitation of the spread of COVID-19 while in our properties. We do not want to have to stop saying the Mass because of carelessness that could have been avoided.

Adult catechism. You can register for online catechism (YouTube videos) by Fr Boulet. Click here to register.

Homeschoolers’ Day. Families who homeschool their children are welcome to come to the church on November 15 from 9 am until 2:30 pm, for a day of catechism, Mass and other activities. Bring your own lunch. Please send an email or a note, before November 8, to FrBélisle if you wish to come indicating the name of all the participants and their age, so that I can organise the lessons. If the number is too large for the church in our times of COVID, we will try to find an alternate location. Adults coming regularly will need to follow an orientation session from the Plan to Protect and qualify.

All-night adoration in Orillia. We will have an all-night adoration to prepare for the new liturgical Year during the night of November 27 to 28, from Saturday night to Sunday morning. A registration sheet will be put at the church to insure that all the time slots are covered. The general intentionsforthis night will be the grace of sanctification to prepare for Christmas, the freedom of the Mass and in reparation for all the sins committed at the occasion of this COVID-19 crisis.

Bookstore. There is a selection of books for sale in Orillia, but you can also order online at the Toronto bookstore and the priests can bring your order to your mission the next time they come. You can browse the site, then email the bookstore your order and ask them to give to the priest coming your way.

Remember in your prayers. The souls of all the faithful departed but especially of John VanderMeer (2011) and those of other deceased parishioners and relatives that have passed away in November.

Prayers for the sick. Please also do remember the sick of the parish in your prayers and also our friends or relatives that are labouring in theirhealth, that God givesthem consolations and graces.

Eucharistic Crusade intention for the month. In November 2021, the intention given by the General Superior is: That God will bring forth the saints that our world needs.
